Who Is the Fresh Marketer?
“And you are…?”
The Fresh Marketer is none other than Dan Schreibstein. A mild-mannered twentysomething marketer providing his not-yet-so-cynical take on traditional marketing practices while mixing it up with some new exciting alternative approaches.
We’ll try to talk about marketing as much as possible here, but you never know — I’ve been known to throw a curve ball and write about finance, food, the Redskins, Capitals, or any of my other interests.
“Dude, what’s up with the name The Fresh Marketer? Are you selling groceries or something?”
No, of course not. Here’s the deal: I like to think innovatively in all that I do. I’m not kidding — even when I’m making pancakes in the morning, I find myself thinking, “How could I make this short stack taste better or cook more quickly?” And my trade is marketing, so I often find myself innovating the art of selling products and engaging with audiences. Seems to me that this name makes a hell of a lot of sense.
“Do you have a day job or are you able to subsist on your overflow of wit?”
Wit doesn’t pay the bills like it used to, huh? I work at The Motley Fool, which is one of the top online financial publishers. I head the email acquisition marketing channel. I bring in loads of revenue and new subscribers for our membership-based products. I also school kids in NHL 08 (we have an Xbox360 at work).
